The 56th Sydney International On-Water Boat Show has successfully concluded after four dynamic days at Darling Harbour, reaffirming its status as a premier event in Australia's marine industry.
Presented by the Boating Industry Association Ltd (BIA) in partnership with Mulpha Events, the show attracted over 20,000 visitors, offering a comprehensive showcase of the boating lifestyle.

This year's event featured more than 160 vessels from 120 leading international and Australian marine brands, highlighting the latest advancements in design, technology, and innovation. The inclusion of specialty tow vehicles also reflected the growing popularity of trailerable boats among enthusiasts.

BIA President Adam Smith emphasized the show's role in providing the marine industry with a platform to introduce new products, connect with both existing and prospective buyers, and elevate brand profiles across a broad audience. The event underscored the strength and international appeal of Australia's marine lifestyle and business sector.

Among the highlights were over 30 Australian and international premieres and launches. Notable debuts included d’Albora Yacht Brokers unveiling the high-performance VESPRO 55, Flagship International Yacht Brokers presenting the Schaefer 380 and Schaefer V44, and Maritimo showcasing their latest luxury motor yachts. These launches not only demonstrated the industry's commitment to innovation but also catered to the diverse interests of the boating community.

The Discover Boating Festival Hub, a new addition to the event, transformed areas such as Palm Grove, Tumbalong Boulevard, and Tumbalong Park into vibrant spaces open to the general public for free. This initiative aimed to modernize the show and promote inclusivity by engaging and educating a new, diverse audience, inspiring them to discover the joys of boating.

Exhibitors reported strong engagement and sales throughout the event. Ray White Marine CEO Brock Rodwell noted a steady flow of qualified crowds, resulting in contracted deals and deposits for significant vessels. Similarly, Maritimo's Marketing Manager Simon Stewart highlighted the successful return to the show, with over 300 guests viewing their motor yachts and strong sales performance.

The success of the 2025 Sydney International On-Water Boat Show reflects the resilience and vibrancy of Australia's boating industry. By adapting to evolving industry needs and global trends, the event continues to serve as a vital platform for showcasing innovation, fostering connections, and celebrating the boating lifestyle.
